Glacial Aquifer Groundwater Availability Study
Groundwater availability is an important issue worldwide and throughout the United States. The US Geological Survey (USGS) within the Department of Interior is tasked with studying groundwater in the United States and in 2017 produced a comprehensive report.
IDEM Groundwater Contamination Site 0135 in the Riverside Wellfield
Indianapolis contains many sites where historical activities such as operation as a fueling station, dry cleaner, or factory have caused environmental contamination of soil, groundwater, or air with chemicals. One significant large-scale site is located in Marion County’s Riverside wellfield and is called Site 0135.
