Save the Date! Indianapolis Colts Electronics Recycling Event

On Saturday May 16 from 8am – Noon, the Indianapolis Colts, Republic Services, and Technology Recyclers will host a free electronic recycling event for residents and businesses at Lucas Oil Stadium. This is a great chance to properly dispose of all those old cords and items you found during spring cleaning!

In addition to electronics waste recycling, the even includes giveaways for the first 400 cars, chances to win Colts autographed items and special appearances by the Colts Cheerleads and mascot.

Participants should enter the south parking lot off Capitol Avenue, where staff members will be available to help unload electronic items from vehicles at no cost.

Tech Recyclers, is 100% landfill-free and guarantees data destruction. Technology Recyclers is compliant with DoD, R2, RIOS and NAID practices, is licensed with IDEM and is an Indiana veteran-owned small business. The following items are able to be disposed of. The event organizers state “If it turns on or plugs in, bring it!”

  • CRT monitors
  • Tube TVs, all TVs
  • LCD displays
  • Computers, laptops, tablets
  • Cell phones, desk phones
  • Calculators
  • Printed circuit boards
  • Microwave ovens and most small appliances with cords that plug in
  • Telecommunication equipment
  • Cables, wires, chargers
  • Medical electronics
  • Fax machines
  • UPS equipment
  • All batteries (any kind or size)
  • Industrial electronics
  • Television production equipment
  • Office copiers
  • Printers
  • Satellite TV equipment
  • Electrical equipment
  • Laboratory equipment
  • IT equipment (hubs, switches, etc.)
  • Consumer electronics, including DVD players, stereos, radios

This event will NOT accept other types of common household waste such as paint, chemicals, furniture, wood, tires or clothing. For more information about free, safe disposal of household hazardous waste, check out the Indianapolis ToxDrop saturday events.

Disposing of waste properly is an easy step to protecting our community’s water resources!
