With National Groundwater Awareness Week (GWAW) coming up March 8, now is a great time to start planning for water savings improvements so that you are in full swing come GWAW!
For over 20 years the groundwater community has celebrated National Groundwater Awareness Week to highlight the responsible development, management, and use of groundwater. In Indianapolis, IN, our drinking water supply comes from both surface water (lakes, rivers, streams, etc.) and groundwater.
It’s not just your budget that will thank you by implementing these water savings tips – it’s also about protecting the planet we share with plants, animals, and our neighbors.
So this Groundwater Awareness Week, try something new! Whether it’s a bucket bath, planting native flowers, trees, and bushes that use less water, harvesting rainwater, or cutting your shower time, every drop counts.
