Recycling Roundtable with IDEM – Rescheduled for March 20

January 17, 2024

Each quarter, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) hosts an online recycling roundtable discussion to facilitate solutions to help Indiana meet its goal of a 50% recycling rate. These events provide a chance for interested parties to discuss issues, share resources, and find solutions to current challenges facing recyclers and Indiana’s recycling industry.

Starting in 2024, the roundtables will introduce a new format to include the celebration of achievements and milestones in stakeholders’ organizations. Each event will also include a speaker and topic as well as Q&A plus updates from IDEM’s recycle staff.

The next discussion on March 20, 2024 will be from 2 – 3:30pm on Zoom. The highlighted topic will be Indiana’s E-cycle Program presented by Jacob Schmicker, Indiana E-Cycle Program Manager. Free registration is required.

Who should attend?

Recycling stakeholders across Indiana are invited to attend, including solid waste haulers, municipalities, recyclers, manufacturers, composters, educational institutions, non-profit advocacy groups, solid waste management districts, environmental contractors, industry groups, and others.

To sign up for future meeting notifications and watch recordings of previous meetings visit IDEM’s Indiana Recycling Roundtable Discussion webpage.
