This fall the Indiana Invasives Initiative along with its partners will host a “Runnin’ and Wranglin” 5K Run/Walk in Columbus, IN on Nov 4, 2023.
Runnin’ & Wranglin’ is a fundraiser that supports people partnering statewide for healthy soil, water, and wildlife. Teams raise money to support the Initiative which works in every county throughout the state and trains citizens and professionals so invasive species impacts can be addressed.
To date, Indiana has 41 CISMAs (Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area – local groups or partnership of organizations and people who collectively manage the problem of invasive species spread) and the Imitative has completed over 400 “weed wrangles” in over 40,000 acres of land.
Gather a team and head on out to support this important program which not only helps protect local water quality, but makes our homes, businesses, and play areas a better place through invasive species management!
