Come see our booth at Earth Day this Saturday, June 5th 2021! We will be showcasing the Awesome Aquifer to show how groundwater can be affected by containments!
The Earth Day Indiana Festival happening from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 5, which is also World Environmental Day. at Garfield Park in Indianapolis is a free annual event designed to celebrate and educate on environmental topics such as recycling, conservation of natural resources and sustainable living.
For more than 30 years we have welcomed families from Central Indiana and the Midwest to learn and be inspired to do their part for environmental responsibility.
The event promotes conservation of natural resources, environmental protection, and sustainable living through art, music, food, hands-on fun, education, and inspiration.
In addition to MCWEC having a booth there are a lot of other fun activities for the family to enjoy.
Featured activities included the LIFT Academy, Nine13 Sports Bicycles, African Drum Troupe, Take Flight Birds of Prey, Cool Bus, United States of Mind, Serious O’Sillies, Helping Ninjas, Friends of Garfield Park, Blake Strong , Sustainability Arts Village and Family Care Center.
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT includes: 11:00 a.m. – Dr. Djo bi Topalon Technique; 12:15 p.m. – Lani Williams; 1:15 p.m. – Gingerbeard Man; 2:15 p.m. – Billy Ray Rock; 3:15 p.m. – Ross Hollow; 4:15 p.m. – R.J. Griffith; and on the main stage at 5:15 p.m. – Papa Warfleigh’s Fun Revival.
FOOD VENDORS include Pure Eating Way, Custard Dogs, Serendipity, Emergency Tacos and Broad Ripple Ice Cream.
KIDS ACTIVITIES include: 11:00 a.m. – Bill Bailey; 12:15 p.m. – Mr. Daniel; 1:15 p.m. – panel discussion for youth with Murdock, founder of Circle City Storytellers; 2:15 p.m. – Zionsville Drum; 3:15 p.m. – The Rainbows; and 4:15 p.m. – Silly Safaris.
