TAPS Manual for Educators

September 22, 2020

Educators, homeschoolers and parents – the Groundwater Foundation has a great source of educational topics and activities for students to learn about protecting water sources.

The Training About Protecting the Source or TAPS manual provides educators with activities that help teach students about drinking water and how we can and need to protect it. Some of the great topics include groundwater basics, improperly abandoned wells, sinkholes, leaking underground storage tanks, leaking landfills, potential sources of contaminants and more.

The manual is based around using the Awesome Aquifer Kit (www.awesomeaquifer.com) to demonstrate aspects of groundwater flow and contamination.
