Due to the COVID-19 issue, the Indy Tox Drop program has been suspended until at least May 1st.
In addition, large item pickup (including freon-containing items) has also been suspended until May 1st.
Some automotive parts stores are still operating and may accept small quantities of waste oils and antifreeze – please call your local store to ensure that they are open and accepting waste drop offs.
Many waste disposal companies are still operating, but you should contact your waste disposal contractor to ensure they are still performing pickups and whether there are schedule changes.
If you have to store waste chemicals longer than expected, make sure they have secondary containment to catch any potential leaks. This can be as simple as a tray or plastic tub for smaller containers, or a spill pallet for larger items.
