Registration is now open for the 2020 Individual Contractor Training and Certification Program. Training will be held on Thursday, February 27 at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Noblesville, IN. The deadline to register is close of business on FEBRUARY 7.
Both the Basic Track and Advanced Track trainings will again be offered this year. The Basic Track covers the basics related to installation, maintenance and inspection of the most common construction BMPs, as well as regulatory information. The Advanced Track builds upon the Basic Track and is more of a hands-on training that covers a variety of current topics including, but not limited to: SWPPP development and implementation challenges, stormwater industry trends, green infrastructure, regulatory changes, and case studies.
To become certified, you must first complete the Basic Track and pass the exam. Certifications are valid for two years – if you are certified (or renewed) after this training, your certification is good until the end of March 2022. In order to keep a certification valid, you need to attend training every other year. If your certification expires, you will be required to go back and take the Basic Track and the exam again.
