Today and tomorrow, March 6, groups and individuals are participating in an event in Washington D.C. to increase the water industry’s profile on Capitol Hill regarding the availability, quality, and safety of our nation’s water resources.
The Fly-In and Congressional Water Summit, organized by the National Groundwater Association, Irrigation Association, and Water Quality Association, include congressional and policy speakers, networking, and meetings on Capitol Hill.
The focus this year includes
- Obtaining federal support for the detection and remediation of PFAS contamination
- Increasing efforts to promote groundwater recharge
- Bolstering support for drinking water infrastructure improvement.
