MCWEC receives the “White River Alliance Exceptional Commitment to Watershed Protection Award”

October 2, 2018

MCWEC representatives attended the White River Dragon Boat Race & Festival in Indianapolis on Saturday the 29th to accept the carved duck decoy presented as part of the “White River Alliance Exceptional Commitment to Watershed Protection Award” award.

The Exceptional Commitment to Watershed Protection Award honors the work of an individual or organization who has demonstrated a strong commitment to water resources and/or watershed protection. Award winning projects model responsible action, sustainability and resiliency principles, and are implemented in harmony with the natural and social surroundings. This award recognizes the work performed by the Marion County Wellfield Education Corporation, which works together with the Marion County Public Health Department and the City of Indianapolis, to protect Marion County drinking water supplies.”
