Secondary Containment Assistance / Spill Protection Program

February 21, 2017

As part of our mission to protect the groundwater of Marion County, we are able to donate secondary containment equipment to small businesses located within the wellfields who use or store chemicals.

Generally, the purpose of secondary containment is to prevent spills and leaks from the stored container from reaching the ground and protect the integrity of the container that is stored within or on top of the secondary containment device. If you think your business is a good candidate for this assistance, please contact us and we will schedule an assessment of your facility.

Let us help you protect groundwater!

Free, Confidential Assessments

MCWEC representatives can help your business identify site specific ways to limit potential for groundwater contamination. You may receive free spill containment supplies in return. These assessments are free and intended to ensure businesses are operating in ways protective to groundwater; observations are NOT reported to any regulatory agencies.
